We have prepared this package of nature thinking of you who love pristine tropical forests, explore majestic volcanoes, and float down peaceful waterways, obtaining a rare glimpse into the wilderness, flora & fauna of Nicaragua. Throughout your journey, get up close and personal with Nicaragua’s exotic animal life, encountering rare varieties of birds, monkeys, as well as more elusive species including jaguar, tapir, cayman, and sloths. Get to know the historical city of Granada, El Castillo, as you explore the many facets of Nicaragua’s unique landscape.
Day 1 - Airport – Granada
Welcome to Nicaragua, today, our representative will be waiting for you at the airport & will be transported to the colonial city of Granada. Once in Granada, you will have the afternoon free at your disposal.
Day 2 - Boat Ride + Lava Tour at night + Montibelli Reserve.
Enjoy a morning coffee before a 5:30 am boat tour of Las Isletas, spotting waking birds and learning local culture. In the afternoon, embark on the Masaya Volcano Night Tour, witnessing an awe-inspiring sunset and lava lake.
Day 3 - Bird-Watching Montibelli + Private Transfer to San Carlos
Start with early morning bird-watching at Montibelli, spotting rare and colorful species. After breakfast, embark on a 6-hour drive to San Carlos, spending the night there before heading to El Castillo.
Day 4 - Public Boat to El Castillo + Cayman Night Tour
After a 7:00 am breakfast, take a 2-hour boat ride to El Castillo. Enjoy a free afternoon, then embark on a 7:00 pm caiman tour, exploring the nocturnal wildlife along the San Juan River.
Day 5 - Walking Tour to Indio Maíz Biosphere Reserve + San Juan River Boat Tour (Manatees & Crocodiles)
After an early coffee and packed breakfast, take a private boat to Indio Maíz Biological Reserve. Enjoy a 2-hour hike, then boat down the river spotting manatees, crocodiles, birds, and sloths, returning to El Castillo by 4pm.
Day 6 - Public Boat to San Carlos + Private Transfer to Granada + Night at Apoyo Lagoon
After an early breakfast, take an 8:00 am boat to San Carlos, then a 5-hour private transport to Apoyo Lagoon. Relax and enjoy the tranquil, mineral-rich waters of Central America's largest volcanic lagoon.
Day 7 - Adventure Tours in Rural Community
Start at 6:00 am, journey to Los Cocos and Charco Muerto for hiking, horseback riding, and breathtaking views. Enjoy a picnic on La Lomona hill, paddle a rowboat, then swim in Aguas Agrias before returning to Granada.
Day 8 - Managua’s Hotel + Airport
So sorry to say that this is our last day in beautiful Nicaragua. We hope you have had the best trip of your life and hope to see you guys again in this country. After breakfast today, we drive 10 minutes to the airport and say goodbye to you.
