In this 8-day tour around this land of lakes and volcanoes as Nicaragua is worldwide known, we’ll have the opportunity to explore its most precious secrets such as the colonial cities of Leon and Granada, the very young volcano of Cerro Negro, the imposing geological formation of the communities of Charco Muerto & Los Cocos, the unique Masaya Volcano, the great Apoyo Lagoon, the paradise of Las Isletas by boat, its ecosystem and wildlife, spectacular monuments of nature.
Day 1 - Managua’s International Airport + Hotel Nearby
This will be the first day for you in Nicaragua, our Tour Guide and our Driver will be both waiting for you at the Airport, right away you meet them, you will receive the itinerary for the whole trip, afterwards you will be transported to your hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 2 - Managua + León (Ruins of old León City + New León City
We explore the rich history of León, starting with the ancient ruins of León Viejo. After lunch, we'll tour the modern city, visiting its grand Cathedral, vibrant museums, scenic parks, and bustling local market.
Day 3 - León (free morning + Cerro Negro Volcano Boarding)
Enjoy a free morning in León before an afternoon adventure at Cerro Negro Volcano. Hike up this active volcano, savor panoramic views, and experience the thrill of volcano boarding down its black sandy slopes.
Day 4 - Private Transfer from Leon to Granada + Granada City Tour + Isletas Sunset Boat Tour
Savor a Nicaraguan breakfast before heading to Granada for a historical city tour. Visit its iconic landmarks, enjoy vigorón at the market, then take a private sunset boat tour of Las Isletas on Lake Nicaragua.
Day 5 - Adventure Day: Canoeing + Hiking Tour + Swimming + Horseback Riding
Embark on an early adventure to Charco Muerto, Los Cocos, and Casa de Tejas. Enjoy hiking, horseback riding, and stunning viewpoints. Picnic atop La Lomona, then swim in Aguas Agrias before returning to Granada.
Day 6 - Free Morning + Ceramic Workshop + Katarina Lookout + Masaya Volcano Lava Tour at Night
Enjoy a free morning. In the afternoon, visit San Juan de Oriente's ceramic artisans and the Pueblos Blancos. Then, marvel at breathtaking views from El Mirador De Catarina and tour Masaya Volcano at sunset to witness its spectacular lava lake.
Day 7 - Private Transfer & night at Apoyo Lagoon
After breakfast, travel to Apoyo Lagoon Natural Reserve. Spend the day and night relaxing at Central America's largest volcanic lagoon, enjoying its tranquil waters rich in beneficial minerals.
Day 8 - Private Transportation to the airport
Unfortunately, this tour won’t last any longer and today is our last day. After your last delicious breakfast, you will have a private transportation to your airport for you to say goodbye to this amazing country. The drive will last just one hour. We hope you will come back soon!
