ATV Extreme Adventure 🏍️🌋
Get ready for an adrenaline-filled journey around the foothills of Mombacho Volcano on this exciting 21-kilometer ATV adventure. This experience is perfect for travelers who want to combine adventure, nature, and breathtaking views of Nicaragua’s volcanic landscapes.
Your adventure begins with a short 25 minute drive from Granada to the base of Mombacho Volcano where we store the ATV, once in there, get a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate your ATV. Once ready, you will set off along rugged countryside trails that wind through forests, farmland, and small rural communities surrounding the volcano.
As you ride through the area, you will pass through the traditional community of Aguas Agrias, where local families live and work the fertile volcanic soils of the region. This part of the journey offers a glimpse into authentic rural life near Mombacho.
Along the route, you will stop at several natural viewpoints where you can admire panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the volcanic slopes, and even countryside life.
The tour also includes a short nature hike at Finca El Refugio, a beautiful private reserve known for its lush vegetation and peaceful mountain atmosphere. Here, you can stretch your legs, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and learn about the local ecosystem.
Before returning, you will visit a mountain camp surrounded by nature, the perfect place to relax for a few minutes, take photos, and enjoy the scenery before completing the final stretch of the ATV route.
After completing the exciting 21-kilometer ATV ride, the tour ends with a relaxing stop at El Refugio Eco Farm, a beautiful eco-farm surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Here you will have about one hour to relax and swim in the farm’s refreshing pool, the perfect way to cool down after the adventure.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains before returning to Granada.
